1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StoryHebrew (the "Service"), available at storyhebrew.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

StoryHebrew is an online platform that provides Hebrew language learning through graded reading materials, vocabulary tracking, audio playback, and related educational tools. Certain features are available without an account; others require registration or a paid subscription.

3. Accounts and Registration

To access certain features you must create an account using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

StoryHebrew offers free and premium tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed through Lemon Squeezy, our third-party payment processor. By purchasing a subscription you agree to:

• Pay the fees associated with your chosen plan (monthly or annual).
• Automatic renewal at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before renewal.
• Manage or cancel your subscription through the billing portal accessible from your account page.

Refunds are handled in accordance with Lemon Squeezy's refund policy. We may change pricing at any time, but changes will not affect your current billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, its servers, or any connected systems.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data or content from the Service without prior written consent.
• Reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works of any content from the Service without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Share, resell, or transfer your account or subscription to another person.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service — including stories, translations, audio recordings, images, software, design, and trademarks — is the property of StoryHebrew or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.

7. User-Generated Data

The Service may store data you generate through use, such as vocabulary lists, reading progress, and preferences. You retain ownership of your personal learning data. By using the Service you grant us a license to store, process, and display this data to provide and improve the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Educational content is provided for learning purposes and should not be relied upon as a sole source of language instruction.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StoryHebrew and its operators, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service.
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein.
• Any interruption or cessation of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StoryHebrew, its operators, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification survive termination.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
